It's All The Democrat Blame Game: You're Being Played!

SEE HERE You have to understand how this works because you've been played over and over and over again with the same blame game and it just shows all the politicians that they are right when they assume you're stupid.  You create a crisis by spending a lot of money you don't have.  I mean a lot of money, so much that the average person has no idea of what is being talked about.  In science when we get to really large numbers we start using scientific notation which is the first few significant figures followed by the factor 10 with an exponent.  10^1 is 10, 10^2 is 100, etc.  A million is 10^6, a billion is 10^9, a trillion is 10^12, so a trillion is a million million.

The government is spending more than a trillion more than it takes in and it talks about fixing the problem by taxing the rich.  Well the problem is that that isn't a fix because you can't get that much money from the rich if you took everything they have.  See the Bill Whittle piece on that.  But the game is to pretend it would solve the problem and assume everyone is too stupid to understand that it's not only not a solution, it doesn't even begin to be a solution.  That makes it a lie and a fraud.  But when your opposition says we're not going to raise taxes, then the game is to say they're keeping the problem from being solved.  Really?  What solution was offered?  Really?  That's supposed to be a solution?

There is only one solution when you're spending too much and that's to tighten your belt and spend less.  So then they trot out phony baloney number two.  We can't spend less without killing entitlements that people are dependent on.  Which ones?  Oh Medicare, Medicaid, Food Stamps, Aid to Dependent Children, and ooo.... Social Security.  Well frankly that's a lie too.  Some of those are not entitlements at all, they are programs that people have paid into large amounts of money all their lives on the basis of the government promise that it would be paid back essentially with interest.  But as usual the government lied to you.  Instead of doing anything even remotely responsible with the money they just spent it on things and issued pieces of paper saying they owed it back.

Now that the piper has to be paid suddenly you're the fall guy.  When are you going to get it that you're being played and gamed and ruined by the very people who are doing all the lying that they give a damn about you.  They all should be fired and we should start over with people who actually have some integrity.

I don't usually do Twinkies, even for Thanksgiving.  I'm more a Dunkin Doughnut man frankly, especially Bavarian Creme.  But I thought when a friend of mine sent me this image that it caught the Zeitgeist.  Capitalists build things while Socialists complain about the producers and take things often destroying them in the process.

I'm hard pressed to think of anything that Socialists have created except misery, lots of misery, and millions of destroyed lives.  I'm currently reading the book "Radicals — Portraits of a Destructive Passion" by David Horowitz.  The book is an insightful series of mini-portraits of a bunch of narcissistic statist radicals who seem obsessed by themselves, by their own narrative, and by transforming society into their own utopian dream no matter what the cost or who stands in their way.  Bombing, senseless violence, murder and armed robbery are no problem and those that are not directly involved are complicit as enablers.  Ultimately Socialists are criminals.  They take from those who produce to fuel their own sense of entitlement.  They value their interior delusions more than the reality that meets them in the real world and they have no qualms about ruining the world of others.

Something to be Thankful For ...

SEE HERE I have a few shticks that I use when I'm joking around. One of them is the "Sixth proof for the Existence of God." Now frankly I don't think we need six proofs except for the fact that we have so many idiots in the world. The necessary existence of a necessary being that satisfactorily explains the existence of everything else seems pretty self-evident to me. But I digress ... The reason there is a sixth proof is that Thomas Aquinas listed five proofs in his Summa. He simply decided five was enough and didn't include the sixth proof which is variously: strawberries, chocolate, and ice cream depending on how I'm feeling. The point is that what's the probability that a random world created by meaningless chance would turn out to have so many delightful things in it? We should be thankful that God didn't just give us gruel. It would have been the efficient thing to do, a perfectly balanced gruel but it just wouldn't come up to chocolate covered strawberries with ice cream. See, I'm salivating already. G.K. Chesterton points out the importance of gratitude when he says: "I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder." Happy Thanksgiving!

The World Has Gone Insane In My Lifetime

Red State Rolls Over

SEE HERE I'll accept that the Democrats out organized the Republicans.  The Republicans have a deep rift caused by the fact that they are a divided party, divided on the basis of the principled and the unprincipled.  The unprincipled just want to win and they tend also to be the partisans with the most money (that's what being unprincipled does for you), while the principled are largely the feet on the ground and the grassroots loyalists which is what principles do for you.  The division comes out whenever we lose.  But just because we were out organized doesn't mean the election was honest.  When I saw Red State just roll over I figured is was lack of gumption time again.  How many times do you have to get raped before you call it what it is?  I think the Democrats might have won the election honestly if they had been honest, but they're Democrats.  The fraud indications should be followed up on and at least be used to motivate better election practices.

SEE HERE and HERE Sure Romney got zero votes in 59 Philadelphia precincts?  What? ... the probability of that is astronomically low.  It's another clear sign of vote fraud.  History is likely, if anyone actually has the guts to investigate, to record this as the most massive vote fraud in the history of American elections and that's a pretty big record since Democrats have been practicing for years and have used vote fraud as a fundamental strategy for my whole lifetime.  It's time to dig the truth out and reform the system while we still have a system.  If we don't we might as well be a banana republic because that's where we'll be headed.

So there is a civil war going on and we're losing.  By we, I mean the American people.  We're losing because this will result not just in the loss of our freedom but the loss of most of our savings and a quick path to destitution.  The resulting chaos might make a real military Civil War seem like a cake walk.

I really couldn't resist the last few posts which were sent to me by two different friends, both of whom are people I admire and respect.  I am deeply saddened by the death of our great republic.  I think it was John Adams that said that only a virtuous people could keep such a republic and it is certainly true that virtue has been one of the casualties of the past fifty or so years.  Obviously it isn't dead but it is so seriously damaged that a election where one candidate has the worst record in history can defeat a man whose virtues are evident by his record of achievement.  So while you might think it isn't quite dead the handwriting is definitely on the wall.  We have ruling the nation an administration that seems dedicated to destroying what it has taken over two centuries to build.  We are likely in a death spiral, an expression which probably arises from the flat spin maneuver that early aircraft could not get out of and crashed.  We're there!

How Did The Worst President In History Get Reelected?

SEE HERE A friend sent me this link this morning.  I'm not one to be overly suspicious but with all the irregularities, the early voting, the Somalis that were registered and prompted to vote for Obama and all the other nonsense that was going on and then the election itself which contrasted the worst president in history with a pretty clean cut man with a record of success in managing failed companies and helping his friends, you'd think it would be a slam dunk and not this nonsense we actually observed.  So what happened?  Will we ever really know?

Reflection On A Toadstool

There is something incredibly stultifying about watching the election returns.  I've done it pretty much since 1956 or so when I watched Eisenhower get his second term or maybe it was 1952.  I don't remember.  It was black and white TV and one of the networks was using computers for the first time to try to forecast election results.

Somehow what was once an exercise of citizenship has over the years degraded into an more empty exercise of popularity and rhetoric.  Television has something to do with it as does the dumbing down of the electorate.  If you compare the way candidates presented themselves in the past to the way they do today you see the emptiness that now pervades the process.  Nothing longer than a 30 second sound bite seems to register.  Some people blame Sesame Street which seems quite a load to heap on Oscar and Big Bird and the rest.  Perhaps as likely is the pervasive short commercial which gets you used to people lying to you about products as if the latest deodorant will solve your social interaction problem.

What I do know is that a man who has one of the worst records in history as president and a record of no real accomplishments, a man whose specialization seems to be looking straight at a camera and lying his head off, has just won reelection over a man with real accomplishments to his name.

I suppose in this imaginary world that television creates, where "reality" is a bunch of people being set vacuous tasks and then being casually discarded by arbitrary power brokers, perhaps it all makes sense.  We just go out into another imaginary world and pull a lever or fill in a form or push images on a touch screen to pick one more power broker.  Little wonder that movies like "The Matrix" characterize the age.

The influence of this election will be felt for a long time.  I don't know if it is the end of the American experiment or not.  It seems likely to be the end of any hope of strict construction of the Constitution as the likelihood is that people of a similar stripe will be appointed to the court as vacancies appear.  The power of the Federal government will continue to expand, already bloated with exaggerated and unconstitutional powers that are being deployed in ways that have damaging effects on our freedoms and our prosperity.  But no one is watching and no-one apparently has the wit to care.

The one thing I remember John Maynard Keynes saying is "In the long run we are all dead."  That's true and I'll stop there.  The toadstool is getting a bit damp from the morning dew and I have promises to keep and miles to go before I sleep.

8) Only in America, could they demand the government investigate whether oil companies are gouging the public because the price of gas went up, when the return on equity invested in a major U.S. oil company (Marathon Oil) is less than half of the return of a company making tennis shoes (Nike).

9) Only in America, coul d the government collect more tax dollars from the people than any nation in recorded history, still spend a Trillion dollars more than it has per year - for total spending of $7-Million PER MINUTE, and complain that it doesn't have nearly enough money.

10) Only in America, could the rich people - who pay 86% of all federal income taxes - be accused of not paying their "fair share" by people who don't pay any federal income taxes at all.
