The second delusion is that They Are Always Right and any Resistance Is Motivated By Evil (which can be greed, bigotry, or whatever is the trendy evil of the moment).  This is why they always play the racism card at every opportunity or the phobe card or many other, what I call, dismissal cards.  You can't possibly have understood what they said if you disagree.  They are the only informed and correct individuals on the planet and it is self-evident to all that they only have our good at heart since they are the sensitive and compassionate ones.  It really is mindless posturing when you think about it.

Finally there is the Resistance Is Futile delusion which suggests that their cause is so important, so transcendent that all other things should fade into insignificance.  The rule of law doesn't matter, the hard earned property of millions of people that they would blithely put at risk or destroy to further their vision is not important, freedom and liberty itself must be sacrificed at the alter of their delusions.  These are truly crazy people.

Wake up people.  These lunatics mean business and it's time to push back and show them that their delusions don't trump the truth which is that liberty, freedom, and frankly intelligence trump their tyranny motivated by crazy ideas.

All Too Often This Is How It Works

SEE HERE  I was engaged in a Facebook war over a cop killing a nineteen year old woman in New Mexico the other day and I made reference to cases of the police planting evidence on the scene to exculpate themselves from wrong doing.  The things I had in mind were planting firearms on the dead victim to justify shooting them or as in this case planting drugs to justify an otherwise illegal police raid.  Frankly the police are out of control in many places, notably in California and the West Coast.  People should be secure in their home and these knock down the doors police raids are just thuggery raised to the max.  If you have evidence then serve a warrant politely.  If you don't then you shouldn't get a warrant.

Email From A Friend: Parsing The Obama War On The Military

When I asked my colleague the Army Colonel why he thinks Obama is doing this, the reply I received from this lifelong soldier and Army leader shocked me.

Paraphrasing him, this is what he told me in a nutshell.

He said, most branches of the service routinely engage in war “games” and come up with strategies and tactics on how to handle every type of military conflict and scenario that can be imagined . One of the big new battle scenarios being actively discussed in the military recently is how to handle civil unrest in the U.S. and fighting in the streets. What will the Army do if called in to fight armed civilians in the streets of the United States ? How will that urban warfare be conducted? Will troops be able to fire upon other American citizens when the troops take an oath to protect American citizens?

He said many in the military are discussing the very real possibility that Obama will attempt to stay in office beyond two terms. It is being speculated that Obama will do this by declaring a state of martial law. The easiest way to declare martial law is when there is massive civil unrest and riots throughout the U.S. Thus, it is believed that Obama, and his regime, will intentionally create a situation of massive civil unrest. Some believe he has already started to implement that strategy by forcing Obamacare on everyone (when the populace did not ask for it and less than 300 people in power voted for it). Perhaps the Obama Administration is not too concerned over the totally dysfunctional Obamacare web site and the additional fact that millions will be dropped from their existing insurance policies which they already had and liked. The Obama Administration may not care if getting health care becomes more difficult and more expensive because it is all leading toward civil unrest. It is believed by some that Obamacare will only get worse and worse, and then in 2 to 3 years when people have a very difficult time getting medical treatment for themselves or their loved ones, people will get enraged.

Moreover, it is being speculated that around the same time when the frustration levels over Obamacare are hitting a critical point in 2 to 3 years, there will be a “glitch” in the welfare payment (or EBT) payment system. The tens of millions who rely on EBT handouts to sustain themselves will be cut off. The overwhelming majority of the EBT recipients are Black. The Obama regime will then blame the “glitch” on the Republicans, i.e., Republicans froze government spending which “forced” Obama to suspension of EBT payments. (Obama will intentionally drive spending up and up uncontrolled knowing full well that one day the Republicans will be backed into a corner and finally vote for a freeze in spending.) Obama will create heightened racial tension by telling everyone that the White Republicans are racially motivated and did this to hurt the Black community. This manufactured racial tension, combined with growing tensions over the then-collapsing medical coverage due to Obamacare, will result in race wars and civil unrest. People will take to the streets.

By the way, you should know that my colleague, the Army Colonel who is telling me all this, is Black. He specifically commented, and outwardly expressed his embarrassment, about how Blacks have become so dependent and enslaved by the welfare system and the Democrats that it would be very easy to create civil unrest and race wars merely by cutting off, or dramatically hindering, EBT payments for only a month or so. He believes that most Blacks, who have a misguided sense of entitlement, will then take to looting stores and rioting.

Once the race wars, civil unrest, and violence becomes pervasive throughout the U.S. , Obama will declare martial law and take over. Elections can, and will, be postponed under martial law.

My colleague noted that this possibility is clearly being analyzed and discussed inside the military because such a martial law strategy is nothing new. Tyrannical and dictatorial leaders in the past have done the martial law strategy many times. He noted that dictators such as Stalin, Mussolini, and Hitler did basically the identical thing. He went on to say that one of the most recent examples of this strategy was when Marcos declared martial law in the Philippines from 1972-1981 due to civil unrest. The Philippines had democratic elections up until that time. When martial law was declared, the Philippine constitution was suspended, its Congress dissolved, all elections were suspended, and Marcos remained in power for years beyond his elected term. The alleged “terrorist bombings” that occurred in the Philippines, which lead to Marcos declaring martial law, have always been questioned and never proven to be the acts of actual terrorists.

He concluded by saying that many believe this is the real reason behind the purgings of military generals. The older members of the military, and especially its generals and leaders, tend to be more conservative and they believe in the Constitution—and following the Constitution. Thus, a tyrant and dictator needs to get rid of these military leaders before a state of martial law is declared if the rising dictator wants the military to follow along and do what the dictator says. Due to the loss of many experienced military leaders the past few years, the military is now being run and guided more and more by younger, inexperienced leaders. The type who won’t really know what to do if martial law was declared. Moreover, he noted that there is a growing mind set throughout the military now that every soldier needs to keep quiet and just follow along with what Obama says and wants to do or you will be fired and your military career ruined. Again, I was told this is nothing new since removing strong military leaders in advance of declaring martial law is a historically-proven element of a rising tyrant and dictator.

SEE HERE  Over the years when I've seen various stings and arrests for corruption I've always been rather amused that it always seems to disproportionately involved Democrats.  Why amused?  Well mostly because they are the ones always claiming that Republicans are the party of the rich and corrupt and all that sort of baseless posturing.  It only confirms that in reality most of the crony capitalism is fostered by and engaged in by Democrats.  They are for sale and anyone can buy them even the Koch brothers who they never tire of maligning.  But the reality is that the jails are far more full of liberal politicians than with conservative ones.  To be fair it may be that part of the reason is that conservatives are smarter, but because they are smarter they engage in less corruption.  Why be corrupt when you can make your money honestly?  This Harry Reid situation bears watching!

We Have The Most Lawyers Per Capita In The World And That's A Big Problem

There are currently 1,244,120 "serving" an American population of 313,914,040, or approximately one lawyer for every 250 Americans.

When I graduated law school, the common wisdom was that it required a population of 1,000 to adequately "support" 1 lawyer.  We are now at FOUR TIMES THAT RATIO!

We have too many lawyers in America trying to support themselves int he lifestyle portrayed on television and in the movies.  The results are:

1.  A glut of nuisance lawsuits for the purpose of extorting awards of attorneys fees from civil defendants.

2.  More and more laws (passed by legislatures that are disproportionately composed of lawyers) and regulations (written by unelected bureaucrats who again are disproportionately lawyers) which choke the economy and thwart efforts to create real jobs.

        Tom Delay was an exterminator. Dick Armey was an economist.

        Who was the last Republican president who was a lawyer? Gerald Ford, who left office 31 years ago and who barely won the Republican nomination as a sitting president, running against Ronald Reagan in 1976.

        The Republican Party is made up of real people doing real work, who are often the targets of lawyers.

        The Democrat Party is made up of lawyers. Democrats mock and scorn men who create wealth, like Bush and Cheney, or who heal the sick, like First, or who immerse themselves in history, like Gingrich. The Lawyers Party sees these sorts of people, who provide goods and services that people want, as the enemies of America .. And, so we have seen the procession of official enemies, in the eyes of the Lawyers Party, grow.

        Against whom do Hillary and Obama rail?....Pharmaceutical companies, oil companies, hospitals, manufacturers, fast food restaurant chains, large retail businesses, bankers, and anyone producing anything of value in our nation. This is the natural consequence of viewing everything through the eyes of lawyers. Lawyers solve problems by successfully representing their clients, in this case the American people. Lawyers seek to have new laws passed, they seek to win lawsuits, they press appellate courts to overturn precedent, and lawyers always parse language to favor their side.

        Confined to the narrow practice of law, that is fine. But it is an awful way to govern a great nation. When politicians as lawyers begin to view some Americans as clients and other Americans as opposing parties, then the role of the legal system in our life becomes all-consuming. Some Americans become adverse parties of our very government. We are not all litigants in some vast social class-action suit. We are citizens of a republic that promises us a great deal of freedom from laws, from courts, and from lawyers.

        Today, we are drowning in laws; we are contorted by judicial decisions; we are driven to distraction by omnipresent lawyers in all parts of our once private lives. America has a place for laws and lawyers, but that place is modest and reasonable, not vast and unchecked. When the most important decision for our next president is whom he will appoint to the Supreme Court, the role of lawyers and the law in America is too big.

        When House Democrats sue America in order to hamstring our efforts to learn what our enemies are planning to do to us, then the role of litigation in America has become crushing.

        Perhaps Americans will understand that change cannot be brought to our nation by those lawyers who already largely dictate American society and business. Perhaps Americans will see that hope does not come from the mouths of lawyers but from personal dreams nourished by hard work. Perhaps Americans will embrace the truth that more lawyers with more power will only make our problems worse.

        The United States has 5% of the world’s population and 66% of the world’s lawyers!Tort (Legal) reform legislation has been introduced in congress several times in the last several years to limit punitive damages in ridiculous lawsuits such as spilling hot coffee on yourself and suing the establishment that sold it to you and also to limit punitive damages in huge medical malpractice lawsuits. This legislation has continually been blocked from even being voted on by the Democrat Party. When you see that97% of the political contributions from the American Trial Lawyers Association go to the Democrat Party, then you realize who is responsible for our medical and product costs being so high!

IRS Targeting Conservative But Not Liberal Groups

SEE HERE  This is the Democrat view of government in action, a mere tool for their tyrannical ends.  This is what Democrats have always done and it exposes their philosophy of governance which is nothing more than power, control, and the throttling of freedom and suppression of all those who disagree with them.  After all anyone that disagrees with a liberal is guilty of "hate speech" and being a "phobe" — I love that 'phobe' thing.  It's much better than 'hater' which they were using before.  It's how a liberal parses reality.  Of course that's an overstatement since liberals don't believe in reality.  They are all existentialists creating their own reality but you better knuckle under or you won't be allowed in the club.  Instead the club will be used on you.

SEE HERE  The tyranny we are experiencing is not new, it's just become more intense.  That means that the final steps towards destroying America are gaining ground and coming closer.  At least that seems to be one possibility and one worth of consideration.  People get the government they deserve in the long run.  If you're paying too much attention to sports and reality television you might want to step back and look around because sports are not real and reality television isn't real either.  Freedom is real and eroding rapidly.  It would be a shame if you missed seeing it go down the drain because you were otherwise occupied.

What Never Worked Shouldn't Be Fixed ... Beyond Stupid!

SEE HERE  The problem is that government has no legitimate role in health care.  You don't fix totally stupid tyranny designed to control and impose power on everyone.  What part of utterly stupid is it that thinks you can fix what is basically tyranny.  Health care is best when doctors and patients handle it themselves.  Insert insurance companies and government bureaucrats and you don't get health care, you get health care rationing and denial of service and reduced effectiveness.  The problem we have is that the electorate is getting more stupid every year as they are brainwashed by the government indoctrination centers.  Just line up like little slaves and suck down the gruel and if they give you the big red pill it's really for the good of society.  Try to go quietly.

How Much Government Do You Need?

SEE HERE  A whole lot less than we have I'd say.  I remember this television show titled "How much land does a man need?" which apparently was an adaptation of a story by Tolstoy and in the story the punch line is that in the final analysis you need six feet to bury yourself.  I thought of that as I wondered about the question of how much government we need.  Frankly we need enough government to give us some assurance that we can go about our ordinary work and business in peace and security.  We've got a whole lot more government than we need.  We now have local, state, and federal government in our knickers all the time with regulations and impositions and restrictions all to supposedly help us in some way.  Frankly it looks more like they are all trying to just help themselves, help themselves to our resources to feather their own nests.  We have too much government and it's time to make it smaller, a lot smaller.

Thomas Sowell Remembers Chuck Stone

SEE HERE  I don't know anything about Chuck Stone.  I know a lot about Thomas Sowell and I'm always interested in the people that Thomas Sowell admired.  It's actually a method of seeking heroes in your own life.  When you have a hero it's always mind expanding to see who your hero's heroes were.  We are formed by the principles, values, and people we admire and seek to emulate.  One of the greatest pieces of advice I can give young people is to pick their heroes consciously and well.  Your heroes don't have to be perfect and omni-heroic.  Maybe they had flaws, don't we all.  But there are things you admire them for.  I admire Richard Feynman, for example, not because I agree with him on everything, but because I deeply agree with his philosophy as a scientist.  I admire Robert Heinlein, for example, not because I agree with him on the way to live your personal life, but because I admire his message of self-reliance and independence as well as his writing.  I could go on like this for person after person that I admire: C.S. Lewis, G.K. Chesterton, Frank Sheed, John Henry Newman, Aristotle, ... are just a few more.  Pick your heroes and seek to be like them.

  Here's Cliven Bundy talking about the Federal Government's attack on his ranch.  Clark Country Nevada citizens hear from rancher Clive Bundy whose cattle are being rustled by the Federal Government to protect some kind of turtle supposedly.  How crazy is that?  Just one more act of tyranny.

Contemplating the Shroud of Turin

With Easter soon to come it's appropriate to think about the Shroud of Turin and this video is hard to beat since it touches upon so many of the issues.  I've personally been interested in the Shroud since 1962 when I was first informed of its existence at a religious retreat by a very detailed lecture using glass slides taken from the 1931 Enrie photographs.  The fidelity was extremely high and as a Physics major I was particularly impressed that such a great image could have been formed on linen cloth in negative five hundred years or so before the invention of photography.

Then in 1977 or thereabouts the news about the VP-8 three dimensional features of the shroud hit the news and I became a shroud researcher myself.  At first I only gave talks about the shroud but then as I encountered better photographs I began studying the image characteristics of the shroud.  It still fascinates me and I'm still doing research.  This video demonstrates the correspondence between the sudarium of Oviedo and the shroud which, in my mind at least, proves that the 1988 carbon date is wrong.  Why is it wrong?  I don't know.  That it is wrong I am quite certain for the shroud duplicates blood stains that are on the sudarium of Oviedo which carbon dates much older than the shroud and since both cloths were in contact with the same body the 1988 carbon date of the shroud that placed it in the 13th or early 14th century is clearly wrong.

Freedom Means Not Having To Explain To Government

SEE HERE  Thomas Sowell focuses in on another dimension of Democrat liberal hypocrisy.  Freedom of speech to a liberal means their freedom to advocate their positions in a climate free of dissent.  In a larger context that means that your freedom to advocate alternative positions is "hate speech" — "Boo Boo Hiss."  This parsing of the public square is called PC (Political Correctness) and it is just another form of left wing tyranny.  It is especially offensive (there's that "I'm offended" card — Free speech means freedom to offend people) when they get offended of advocacy of traditional morality and settled law like "horrors" the Constitution.  The facts are in the harsh cold light of day, that Democrats are despots bent on enslaving our society to a collective utopian vision that is essentially totalitarian.  That is certainly not what the Founders thought of as freedom.
