Back-Stabbing Another Ally

SEE HERE President Obama never ceases to amaze. He's a man of shallow accomplishment and deep personal flaws. He never met a baby he wouldn't abort, even if he survived the first attempt. He never met an ally he wouldn't betray. He cozies up to dictators and thugs like they were long lost buds (maybe they are?) and lectures our friends. He's got an overwhelmingly overblown sense of his own importance and impressiveness ... who else would give the queen of England a iPod with his speeches on it? One has to wonder who this guy's advisers are and if he ever listens to any of them.

The Reality of Irrational Hatred

SEE HERE Irrational? It is quite literally painful to read how the hatred that is ingrained in the Palestinian angst trumps the reality of charity extended. The Palestinians have been turned into rabid dogs by their coreligionists who have kept them in refugee camps for over a generation. They are brainwashed and made the tools of militant Islam. What's that you say? How can the religion of peace be so maligned? "Show me the data" on this religion of peace. I will show you a religion spread by the sword, a religion intolerant of its neighbors, a religion that cuts off people's heads because they want to make a point, a religion that straps bombs to the innocent to kill the innocent. It is not a religion of peace. Of that we can be certain. Whether it is properly a religion at all is another question?

The Whiny-Butts Start Spinning the Narrative

SEE HERE Finger-pointing and blame, the Democrat blame game. Nothing, after all could be their fault. It has to be those other evil folks because they have the best of intentions and those others, those outsiders, those evil ones, it's they who seek to do things like pass budgets and control spending.

Doesn't anyone but me think this whiny-butt posture isn't very convincing in people that are supposed to be grown up. Let's make one thing perfectly clear: The Democrats have thoroughly screwed up the economy and left on the trajectory it is on we can anticipate a major collapse. That's it! Just look at the numbers.

My mantra is "Show me the data." If you have real data I'll salute. In this case the data is exponential runaway spending well beyond our ability to pay. What happens when you do that? You go bankrupt and no one takes your checks anymore.

What about government? Their version of bankruptcy is a little different. What happens is that their checks (the money they print) becomes relatively more worthless. In extreme cases it becomes suitable for lighting fires and little more. Unfortunately that usually means that there is a major take down of everyone's savings. So as the collapse point is approached people try to shift their paper money into tangible goods which accelerates the process of collapse as prices are bid up on a limited supply of goods.

In short, we can look forward to inflation and in extreme cases hyper-inflation. But the whiny-butts what to blame someone else for their irresponsible behavior. Surprise! Surprise! Bush made me do it! Give me a break! We need to send some adults to Washington to clean this mess up.

Carter — It Will be Hard for Obama to Be a Worse President Although He's Trying!

SEE HERE Carter should actually be in jail. It is actually against the law to do what he is doing. He's running around pretending to represent the United State. He's also continuing the kind of policies that call into question not only his Christianity but his common sense. I personally think you can lay much of the unrest in the Middle East directly at Carter's door from the destabilization of Iran to the perception in much of the world that the United States is a paper tiger and moreover a violator of human rights. Mister Carter is no patriot.

Ann mentioned my favorite economist, Thomas Sowell, in the context of the Reagan tax cuts. Which, BTW, confirmed the predictions of the Laffer Curve. Unfortunately, you can't keep the politicians from spending three dollars for every new dollar that comes in. It's hard to think of a better way to sink the economy long term.
