The Sneering Hypocrites Inhabit Washington

SEE HERE The Tea Party movement is a fundamental grass roots movement and it is ironic that all the representatives in Washington seem to be sneering at it. Apparently going to Washington is akin to baptizing your neurons into a new and higher state of consciousness. Well I hope they are all in for a big surprise. The Tea Party people that I've met are patriots who are very concerned for the continued existence of the freedoms that the Constitution and Declaration of Independence guarantee. These are the very freedoms that the Demon-crats and hypocrits in Washington seem determined to destroy. I think the Tea Party movement is among the most authentic political movements of our time. To ignore it and sneer at it is merely to show how truly out of touch the boys inside the beltway really are.

Green Guilt: Pseudo-Outrage from Chicken Littles

SEE HERE It's long since time to call what most of this stuff is by its real name: "Nonsense." The fabricated need to recycle for example. Recycling is at best an option. The free market tells you when that option should be exercised via that old fashioned signaling mechanism called "prices." If something could be recycled profitably then two things happen. The price goes up to the point were people buy less to save money and the price is high enough to motivate people to recycle. That is recycling that works. The other kind is feel-good recycling. Paper is mostly made from trees that are planted for the express purpose of making paper. Recycling of paper uses harsh chemicals which are then discharged into the environment and the paper isn't even less expensive then ordinary paper. That's an example of feel-good recycling. The dimension of propagandizing the young which is also pseudo-education, brainwashing in lieu of thought, is unconscionable. The greens are just another kind of hypocritical left mini-tyrants seeking power by "saving the Earth." Slogans used to separate people from their money to spend it on some do-gooder's crusade are all of this type.

Weasels In the Courtroom Coming to New York

Here's the state of modern jurisprudence. They don't know if the 9/11 victims were murdered or what "bad" means. This is illuminating, especially on the question of weasel thinking. It is certainly true that if you're going to try these people in U.S. criminal court they deserve a competent defense and a fair trial. The question of course is whether a criminal trial is appropriate for enemy combatants. I don't think so, but your mileage may differ. BTW I'm not sure Bill O'Reilly badgering this guy is entirely fair. He's a member of the defense team apparently and his job is to defend the guy so why would you expect him to take any positions at all publicly that might compromise the trial. The question is really why a person who participated in an act of war should be treated like a common criminal? Bad precedent that goes to very bad places from the standpoint of national security. The president and the justice department should be ashamed of themselves.

U.S. Ranks Number One in Health Care Responsiveness

SEE HERE ... but not for long if the current government health care seizure passes and takes hold. The government is congenitally incapable of running anything efficiently and well. They have already thoroughly fouled up the health care insurance industry and then (this is actually a political kata: cause through regulation an industry to become more inefficient, then blame the industry for the inefficiency caused by the regulation and then use that to impose still more regulation. So simple when you understand Grasshopper.) in time honored fashion are proposing to fix what they broke in the first place. Do not be deceived, the government is incapable of fixing things. Their specialty is screwing things up in the first place.

Hypocrisy? Never Far Away With Democrats

SEE HERE No doubt that a double standard reigns in the Demon-crat party. It's often on display but not as often commented upon. Whether it is sexual exploitation, demonized in a Republican, tolerated in a Democrat, or racist remarks, read into any Republican comment that comes even close to a racial issue, and tolerated and forgiven in a Democrat — The question is why do they so often get a pass. The fact of the matter is that the record of the Republican party is far better on race than the Democrats. It wasn't until 1964 that the Democrats actually gave up on segregation and the Republicans had been fighting it since the 1950s. (Picture is from Little Rock in 1957, Eisenhower was president) Go figure! I think it has something to do with neuron density.

AbuseGate? The Things You Find ...

SEE HERE I'll be the first to admit that I don't know anything about this. I was startled to find an article which has the term ClimateGate in it, which I've been tracking, but then the article is actually about feminism and spousal abuse and it seems to suggest that the vast majority of the literature on spousal abuse is just, well made up out of thin air. They call it AbuseGate. Is it true? I don't know. It is certainly provocative. Having lived through the feminist revolution or whatever it was and still is and the distortion of language and the presumption that all men are some kind of monsters, I'm a bit wary. Of course the reality of spousal abuse cannot be denied. It is interesting however, that the social movement advanced without the benefit of actual studies to characterize and study the problem. It does remind me of the quote that 90% of all statistics are made up at the moment that they are used.
So that got me curious and I googled on Abusegate ... HERE-1 HERE-2 and HERE-3

Apparently it is getting fashionable to add -gate after a prefix and start spinning stories. Watergate started it all and since then we've had a lot of gates. Every kind of coverup gets to be a -gate of some type.

Krauthammer's Christmas Prophecy

One way or the other, Iran will dominate 2010. Either there will be an Israeli attack or Iran will arrive at -- or cross -- the nuclear threshold. Unless revolution intervenes. Which is why to fail to do everything in our power to support this popular revolt is unforgivable.
