SEE HERE Walter Williams explains the fallacies floating around in the whole tax revenue dialogue.  You can't consume what you don't produce so in some sense the budget is always balanced.  The reality is that we have a very uneven tax system that punishes the wealthiest 10% which giving the bottom 47% a free ride (income tax wise) ... this amounts to job security for high spending politicians.  Frankly, if you are not paying taxes you ought not to be entitled to vote.  It has nothing to do with worth, it has to do with societal stability.  If those receiving largess from the government and paying no tax can vote then when they get to be a big enough bloc they will just constantly vote for politicians that will further enrich them and this will slowly or quickly sink the economy.  Stupid, but then no-one every said politicians were necessarily bright, just crafty.

Finally Intelligent Design is an attempt to explain the existence of apparently unevolveable elements in living creatures. It is a act of faith to claim that there are no such elements and it is a further act of faith to deny that their may be an explanation that goes outside of the Darwinian sphere. I am always baffled at the sheer hubris of those that will not admit their ignorance. That's what this is about, intolerance and ignorance.

SEE HERE Newt Gingrich lays it out there.  If you don't think you're being gamed by the media than maybe you should read this.  The truth of the matter seems to be that there is no fair and unbiased news out there.  You simply have to assume you're being gamed and the only question is what is the agenda.  In that environment, so different from the news environment when I was a kid (or at least it was not so blatant) you have to get the widest possible input and assume that everyone may be lying to you.  If you're lucky you may be able to piece out of the chaos something vaguely resembling the truth.  Even that will be uncertain however.  It's hard to get straight talk from any one these days.  That's why I really liked Herman Cain even more than I like Newt Gingrich.  We need straight talkers and it's time for a change, a big change, in national politics or we're simply going to go down the tubes.  The train wreck has actually happened, we just have not assessed all the damage yet.  You can't have the never ending debt as far as the eye can see, debt measured in tens of trillions of dollars which no-one seems to be able to fully assess and just say "Oh well."  It's not "Oh well" it's total collapse and the only question is likely whether it will be fast or slow.  If we can slow it down maybe we can find a solution.  But make no mistake, the train wreck is here.

The Democrats obviously think there is no end to their stupidity so long as the media, which they still trust apparently (why I can't imagine),keeps the koolaid running so that regardless of what they say the media will cover for them. Words mean things, but not to Democrats. Democrats think words are simply a tool for manipulating public opinion and have no connection with truth and falsity. That's of course why it is so easy to charge Democrats with lying. Of course if you get really technical about it, lying is telling a falsehood you know is a falsehood in order to obtain some result. Much of the time the whole distinction "falsehood" just doesn't make the Democrat radar. They don't care whether it is true or false in the first place. It is far more important that it sounds good and achieves the purpose they have.  Does that make them liars?

We may have to get technical and break the category of liars into subcategories. A liar of the first type tells targeted lies. By that I mean that he mostly tells the truth and only lies on occasion to achieve a particular end. A liar of the second kind simply says whatever he or she thinks will achieve a particular end not paying any attention at all to the truth or falseness of the statements. The second kind of a liar is even more morally reprehensible than the first for they show a total disregard for the truth while the liar of the first kind only shows an occasional and limited disregard for the truth. Democrats appear mostly to be liars of the second kind.

Then the New Black Panther party threatens the family with violence and all the usual suspects foment trouble and the media continues using the phony outdated picture and you have to wonder.  Is this about the unfortunate incident or is it a ploy to exploit the crisis to generate racial tensions and produce the nucleus of a crisis that the administration can use either to get votes or to encourage a national uprising so they can impose martial law?  I have no idea, but the irresponsibility of everyone in authority is patently obvious.

I'm sick of the bought and paid for liberal progressive U.S. media that covers stories based on their own agenda and feeds us all sorts of pap to distract us as the POTUS "fundamentally transforms America" into the image of at best a European socialist state and at worst a Marxist dictatorship. The racism that needs to be called out is the racism in the White House that constantly plays the race card because it's a tactic.

The reality is that the black population commits a disproportional amount of the crime in the country despite being a minority. A hearing will be held before an Administration Law Judge tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. The question of eligibility is being treated like a joke. It's not a very funny joke when almost everything we know about President Obama appears to be a lie. His birth certificate is forged. It is not clear his father was ever married to his mother. It isn't clear what hospital in Hawaii he was born in if he was born there. The confusion goes on and on.

SEE HERE The executive branch is looking more and more like it imagines itself an imperial agency.  The president questions the legitimacy of the Supreme Court and his Interior Secretary takes it upon himself to ignore congressional subpoenas designating them "political" I suppose because the House has a Republican majority.  Does that mean that all the Democrat Senate's obstructionism is also just "political"?  The lack of respect for the Constitution that is reflected in the administration is calling into question the fundamental rule of law in the United States.

SEE HERE I would not have believed that something similar to what happened in Germany with the rise of the National Socialists could happen here in the United States. Still, there are enough signs of tyranny being prepared that one has to be deeply concerned.

 I would also not have believed that someone with Barack Obama's extraordinarily limited credentials could be nominated much less elected president. The cavalier disregard for the constitution is troubling. The smooth but empty rhetoric which greets every challenge is troubling. The lack of verification both of eligibility but also the resistance to reasonable measure to ensure election integrity strongly suggests that election fraud is a fundamental strategy.

The concerns go on and on. What counsel is appropriate? Watchfulness I suppose to begin with, but also one should be prepared to resist tyranny at the local and state level if it comes. We are a federation of equal sovereign states and the powers of the federal government are supposed to be enumerated and limited. We must keep it that way.

Not Whether But When? ...

SEE HERE One of the traditional functions of money is as a "store of value." Unfortunately fiat money is not a store of value unless the system that creates it operates in such a way as to resist inflation.

Inflation is a government induced phenomenon associated with fiat money primarily, although it can come with hard currency's as well if the underlying store of value (ex. gold) becomes more accessible. Paper is cheap however. Printing money like there is no tomorrow, creating more and more credit results in pressure that leads to inflation. Small amount of inflation tend to pass with little notice but large amounts of inflation lead to uncertainty, panic, and ultimately to economic collapse if they are not controlled.

We have been creating so much money that we are going to face a flood sooner or later which will create strong inflationary pressure. All the pious nonsense coming from the Fed will not change things. With gas for my Eclipse now over $4.09 a gallon I'm not very impressed by administration assurances that the economy is getting better. It's certainly getting more expensive.

SEE HERE Four more years of Obama would simply be a total disaster.  The man has done more in the first term to sink the nation than all the presidents before him although I think LBJ and Carter did a pretty good job of it too.  If you want answers you sure won't get them from Mitt Romney (etch-a-sketch finger in the air to catch the wind/weather vane).  Newt Gingrich is a man with vision and insight.  He's the one that has generated a balanced budget and made it stick before and he can do it again.  We are currently on a road that leads to a massive train wreck.  To stop that we need a real leader not another plastic bobble-head like Obama or Romney.
