Remember Who You Are

SEE HERE "Who are your people?"  I remember being asked this question once when I was a teenager.  I'm not sure I understood the question fully then.  It was an old woman asking me, a random encounter with an older person and she was asking me where I came from and what my family traditions were.  I'd never really thought about it.  We have to tell our stories or they will be forgotten and we will not have a people or a past.  I think I need to sit down sometime, maybe soon, I'm not getting and younger, and try to answer that question.  The larger society has to answer the same question.  "Who are your people?"
