Who Prolonged the Great Depression? ...
SEE HERE Well those of you who have been reading my blog will know that the answer is not George W. Bush. Walter Williams gives here some sobering reflection on the misadventures of government when it tries to fix things. Generally (not always I suppose, that would require a miracle, but generally) things get worse. Government is particularly bad at picking winning strategies and if the government involved is a Democratic administration it will be long on promises, long on expense, long on rhetoric, and dismal in results. Check the record. I mean the record not the rhetoric. Democrats are always declaring victory and moving on, when in fact they have left things in the worst possible shape for going forward. You can thank the Democrats, for example, for the current state of the Middle East, especially Iran. Thanks Carter, you bozo! Now look back at where it all came from in the first place, the predecessor of The Great Society, The New Deal which was clearly The Raw Deal.
