Now understand this.  All great democracies have committed financial suicide somewhere between 200 and 250years after being founded.

Voters figured out they could vote themselves money from the treasury by electing people who promised to give them money from the treasury in exchange for electing them.

Bible Banned In Classroom Reading ... Really!

SEE HERE  There is something seriously wrong when you can't read a bible or other religious book in silent classroom reading time but you are encouraged to read books that contain explicit sex or other abberrent material.  This is the kind of thing that is wrong with the public schools.  They have become indoctrination centers to dechristianize and pollute the morals of the young and to wean children away from their parent's standards.  It's disgusting what is going on and it's time to push back hard either by creating wholesome schools or by homeschooling.  The state does not have a right to indoctrinate your children.

Interestingly, I went to find an image to illustrate this post and google on "indoctrination of children" and far and away the most common images where oriented towards hatred of religion and distortions of religion put up, apparently, by atheists (Richard Dawkins appeared in lots of pictures) and those who imagine religion is about hating other people.  I think most of that is projection on the part of the left ideologues who want to demonize Christianity.  But if you take Christianity seriously you have to wonder at these bigots.  Be warned!

Interesting Appointment — Does This Call The Select Committee Into Question?

SEE HERE  Not sure what to make of this little tidbit of information about the composition of the Select Committee on Benghazi.  Having an Executive Director with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood seems a tad questionable, although certainly it is likely that someone like that might know where the bodies are buried, so to speak.  But it also my flag the intention to whitewash and cover-up what went down.  I've become very suspicious of all this sort of thing regardless of what side of the aisle it comes from.

Police Gun Down A Man Carrying A Backpack And Gardening Implements

The obvious question is whether police should be judge and jury.  I just finished having a knock-down drag out Facebook confrontation with folks that justified this police killing based on the fact that the victim may have been involved in a 911 report that they'd received.  

I frankly don't care what they received except insofar as it may have influence the police mindset.  The facts of the matter seem to be that the man was confronted by police and didn't cooperate by dropping his backpack but kept on walking.  The police could have simply followed him and put their guns away and talked at him.  Sooner or later they would have had back up.  The guy was on foot and no present danger.  

The cops escalated the situation and then executed him.  That's what happened on the video and it was pretty clear.  You can call that police work if you like.  To me it looked a lot more like murder by police.  I don't know how they train them nowadays, but it appears to me that if you walk away from police that are shouting at you, then sooner or later they're going to shoot you.

Frankly this guy is a bit over the top. It's not clear that his "science" is any good. He calls a lot of pretty straightforward science "junk science." So why would he be right. Still there's little doubt that there is a crisis in money coming as debt explodes. So it's worth listening to the speculation. Is he right? Who knows? The scale of the disaster he's predicting seems exorbitant. He's expecting something huge within five years. A total collapse is his thesis.

So what are the signposts? He says 1) financial warfare (scenario one), evidence Russia in the Crimea. Already in a financial war with Iran. Russia a bigger tougher target. Cites NASDAQ hackers as past event. Russian and China etc. maybe taking on the reserve currency. 2) Special Drawing Rights (SDR) everybody has a fiat currency. Price of an SDR is calculated with reference to a basket of currency. It's still fiat money backed by nothing. 80 to 1 Fed leverage. 4 trillion dollar Fed portfolio (well fiat currency). 3) Arrogance of central bankers, unbelievably arrogant. Never leave their models (equilibrium models but it's a complex world). 4) unfolds how? Triggers? Lot's of possibilities. Instability of the system causes it to be easily triggers. Mountain of paper gold, natural disaster, prominent suicide, any number of potential "snowflakes" to trigger the avalanche. Excess of cash. Precautionary savings. Holding cash which can fund them internally for six months. Government sector far worse. 5) U.S. credit decline didn't trigger higher interest rates, due to the one eyed man being king in the kingdom of the blind. Interest rates went down because we're in a depression. Dynamic is instability not just inflation or deflation. The analogy is the collision of tectonic plates. It's going to snap and be ugly for investors. Depends on whether the dollar is the epicenter or not. They may have no place else to go. 6) end of petrodollars could be a problem, Russia looking for a way out of teh dollar, China as well. China accumulating gold (four thousand tons of gold and two trillion in U.S. assets) 7) Emergent properties come out of nowhere. They could trigger the collapse. China does want a strong dollar but they're covering for themselves. Gold from one vault to another. But it disappears into China. 8) What about hope? Won't they just start rebuilding in the event of a crash ... should have happened already but it hasn't. Things should have been allowed to crash so that the correction could take place so instead we're just setting up for a worse crash.  9) Next what do do with your money?  Gold (10-20% no more, buy real gold), 30% in cash (can't rule out deflation and it's liquid), everything U.S. is doing is making the situation worse, should break up the big banks.  I guess we'll find out if we wait around.  In the meantime you might want to at least think about it and try to do what you can to secure yourself.

SEE HERE  I can't stand the sound of the president's voice.  He's been reading teleprompters so long that there is a smooth, oily, sense of unreality that come across every time I see the man reading yet another disclaimer about how he didn't know, or it's Bush's fault, or he's going to get to the bottom of this and punish the evil-doers, and on and on.  It might be different if anything real ever happened.  But Eric Holder has his back and the DOJ is too busy punishing people on the right and letting people on the left off to actually investigate anything at all.  We truly live in Bizarro World and it isn't going to change if the president can help it and nothing will stop him, not the Constitution, not anything relating to the rule of law, not impeachment as long as he has the Senate, and frankly with the effort he's making to weaponize the government and install sycophants it isn't clear that even elections will stop him.  He's a puppet fronting for larger forces behind the scenes or so it would appear.  We'll find out soon I suspect.

SEE HERE  The insanity of the left is destroying America by destroying what is good and true and substituting degeneracy in its place.  Sure racism is real enough, but racism by white people against black people is largely a thing of the past.  You have noticed we have a black, well sort of half-black largely Arab, president.  You don't get that from a racist society.  But racism is quite rampant in the black community not only against white people who are being attacked by against black people who have the audacity to disagree with the plantation mentality of the left liberal entitlement culture.  It's bizarre that a political agenda that has largely achieved the destruction of the black family and the killing of millions of black children through abortion is seen in the black community as some kind of payback for largely self-imposed victimhood.

It doesn't stop there of course.  We have to throw away common sense and the whole concept of objective morality and the testimony of sacred revelation to embrace the deviant and disordered lifestyle of homosexual couples raising their perverse "unions" to the status of marriage.  Never mind that such unions can produce no progeny and have not claim in any meaningful sense to be "marriages."  It's their right because they say so.

And of course Islam is the religion of peace that cuts off people's heads, persecutes people not of their faith actually crucifying Christians and torching their churches or machine gunning them as they come out of services.  But we're told that's just a radical fringe and not representative of Islam, except then we see video footage of them all dancing in the streets celebrating some atrocity.  But we're not supposed to take note of such dissonant data.  Just accept the propaganda until they come for you.

It's insane!  But that's what the liberal mind set and its bizarre political correctness is doing to America.  Meanwhile they call names quite freely for just telling the truth.  If you persist they play

the "I'm offended" card and pretend they are a higher form of life.  How surpassingly strange.

The Reality Of Two Americas

SEE HERE  There is a cultural divide in America but it is not between the 'haves and the have nots' as Saul Alinsky would say but between those who strive and those who choose not to strive but instead to claim they are victims because of different outcomes.

In our own day we see young men and women seeing visions.   We just went to the movie "Heaven Is For Real" and thought it was very well done.  That young man and this young woman have seen visions and they have been told to others.  Are they authentic?  Each person has to judge for themselves.  God is real, of that I am quite certain, and so heaven is real too for God does nothing without an end in mind and heaven is His intended end for us if we only cooperate, which it appears we are mostly not doing.

SEE HERE  Four Americans are dead and all we have is a massive coverup by the administration.  Ted Cruz offers ten questions that should be answered, hopefully, by the House Select Committee.  Meanwhile the Democrats are spinning and lying, which of course is not unusual.  They are also trying to distract, belittle, and continue to coverup their actions.  What was the CIA doing in Benghazi in the first place and why was the ambassador there?  Why have all the people that were there on the ground been spirited off and had their identities concealed?  What is the administration hiding?  Given this administration's behavior more generally it is probably illegal and treacherous.  It is only appropriate that the American people find out what it was.

Here is what happened on January 1st 2014:

Top Income tax bracket went from 35% to 39.6%

Top Income payroll tax went from 37.4% to 52.2%

Capital Gains tax went from 15% to 28%

Dividends tax went from 15% to 39.6%

Estate tax went from 0% to 55%

Remember this fact: if you have money, the Democrats want it. These taxes were all passed only with Democrat votes, no Republicans voted for these taxes. These taxes were all passed under the affordable care act, aka Obamacare...

Maybe we should have our elected representatives actually read the bills before they vote for them. It might also help if they actually represented us instead of treating us like their personal cash cow.

Meanwhile the law will be challenged in the Supreme Court very soon based on the fact that a tax violates the origination clause. Ken Cuccinelli: This Thursday (May 8th) the Supreme Court will hear arguments in a case challenging Obamacare under the origination clause. If this doesn't violate the origination clause, nothing does.

SEE HERE  Well you'd be wrong.  Notre Dame has been supporting anti-Catholic immorality for years and this is just one more instance of shutting down legitimate speech on campus.  I wouldn't send any of my children to Notre Dame, although now they're too old to be in college anyway.  It does recall Bishop Fulton J. Sheen's remark at the 1976 41st Eucharistic Congress, I was sitting in the stadium where the mass was concelebrated by a zillion bishops who looked rather uncomfortable when he said,"Parents don't send your children to Catholic colleges where they will lose their faith but to secular colleges where they will have to defend it."  (that's not an exact quote ... I don't remember exactly how he said it and trying to google it I've not found anything that sounds quite right.  I'd like to find a transcript of what he said.  But the sentiment is right.)  Here's an example of how Notre Dame defends the faith. (Yeah I'm being sarcastic.)  The Zeitgeist is pervasive and deadly.  Satan was a liar from the beginning.

SEE HERE  It isn't enough that we have huge gasoline taxes to fund highways.  The government just spends and spends and wastes and wastes and looks for new ways to extract money from us so they can waste still more.  All layers of government are currently spending almost 50 cents out of every dollar of the U.S. Gross Domestic Product.  I remember one wag saying "The only good thing about government is that we don't get as much as we pay for."  Well if it keeps going up we'll soon be paupers.

SEE HERE  This seems pretty stupid to me, but that's just me I guess.  So this character Donald Sterling makes some private racist remarks that his girlfriend records and that go viral and so UCLA gives back significant grant money offered by his foundation for kidney cancer research, money that over the next seven years would have totaled about $3 million dollars.  Does this mean I'm supposed to be impressed by UCLA or just think they are pretty stupid.  If I was suffering from kidney cancer (not that you last long with that) I'd put them in the stupid column.  Let's see how this is supposed to work:  You don't like what someone says so you turn down money he offers for a good cause.  Does that really make sense?  Only to liberals.
