The Dark Subtext of Global Warming

SEE HERE It's just too many people dont'chaknow. At the heart of most environmentalism is the notion that the world would be a better place without human beings. We are the problem which keeps the earth from being a perfect place, that is except for those special privileged and nuanced beings who have been self-anointed to save the world from those heathens, the rest of us.

This attitude explains much of the underlying rationale for the militantly anti-industrial, anti-technological thrust of much environmentalism. A couple of years ago a prominent environmental scientist proclaimed that what the earth needed was a return of the plague to take out a couple of billion people on the planet. These people who posture as friends of the earth are in fact enemies of the human race. Follow them at your peril.
