The reality of the Middle East is of deeply engrained hatred based on almost genetically disseminated core prejudice. The hatred not only of the Jews but of one faction of Islam for the others. The Christians are in the middle. The Middle East is a mess. Is there a solution? No-one has one. "The very question is American" say Totten. The Iranian strategy is to gain control of all Middle East oil. "Thanks Jimmy!" Jimmy Carter, a total nincompoop, created this mess and then pretended he had nothing to do with it.
