Can You Imagine If Bush Did This?

SEE HERE and HERE Apparently the Democrats have no problem with a Democrat interfering militarily and politically in the affairs of other sovereign nations. I question whether these moves would have been approved had the president's name been Bush. The Middle East, and for that matter the world at large, is full of tyrants and butchers who oppress their people. The question that needs an answer is "When is it appropriate for the United States to impose sanctions?" It seems to me that whatever the answer to that question is the reality is that the actions seem generally to be imposed in an arbitrary and highly selective manner. If we want to be policeman of the world then at least we ought to post the rules. Has the U.N. been consulted? No mention. Maybe we're going to set ourselves up and judge and jury and start executing other folks we don't like without any due process.
