More SCOTUS Commentary — Round 1 Is a Draw

SEE HERE Whether Judge Roberts is brilliant or merely caved in to liberal pressure continues to be a squabble that may go on for some time.  The silver lining appears to be limiting the commerce clause, a result devoutly to be wished and eliminating the ability of Congress to mandate state expenditures.  Whether it has other beneficial results remains to be seen.  One hopes that the whole package can be repealed and something more sane and sustainable put in its place.  One has to wonder why anyone thinks the Federal government has a Constitutional right to mandate anything about health?  What clause of the Constitution does that come under?  You'd think that Americans didn't get any health care before the government started messing with it to listen to the liberal progressives.  I'd be quite happy to go back to the old system before the government and the insurance companies became so pervasive.
