The Crushing Cost of Federal Regulation
SEE HERE Do you really think we need all this meddling by the government? I think we'd do just fine without the vast majority of it. It's one thing to demand honesty of manufacturers and the providers of services. I think we should do that and have some recourse when it isn't provided. But the price tag is 1.7 trillion dollars a year. That's stupendous and there is no doubt that we're not getting anything like our money's worth. We should simply stop it. Virtually all regulation can be replaced by a few requirements that ensure transparency so that we know what is going on. This would actually make things cheaper. It would encourage innovation and entrepreneurship and would save an incredible amount of money.
