This came floating in from Patriot Post and I thought it was funny. I thought it was funnier before the healthcare bill was passed yesterday, but we'll see how it all plays out. The most interesting thing in the offing will be the Constitutional test. If this thing is deemed constitutional we're all in big trouble. I have some hope since as I was listening to my Teaching Company course on Capitalism today the New Deal came up and the fact that one of FDRs early acts SEE HERE Portions of the NRA (National Recovery Administration) legislation were declared unconstitutional. The lecturer pointed out that the NRA was setting up what amounted to cartels, essentially a form of creeping National Socialism. I think it might be instructive to review where the New Deal was really going. The script hasn't changed. Tyranny has a way of creeping up on you.
