Intolerance of the Cross

SEE HERE There is something strange about being against crosses. The cross is a historical symbol that points to a form of Roman execution. Of course the most recognizable crucifixion victim was a young rabbi from Galilee Yeshua bar Joseph, known to his followers as Jesus of Nazareth. His story is an unlikely one to have spread so far and wide and even today nearly two thousand years after his execution there are those who seem to find the device of his execution to be somehow unacceptable to mark a grave on public ground even at private expense. Whatever this is, it is not freedom of religion. It is not tolerance. It is the work of a kind of concentrated desire to eradicate the memory of this man from the minds of people who see themselves as the masters of the universe.
