It's Going to Get Colder Before It Gets Warmer

SEE HERE I think all the climate folks should take about a ten year sabbatical after burying a time capsule with their predictions for the next decade. Then we can put a few million aside and when we dig up the time capsules in ten years we'll award the millions to the team that was correct, where correct will have to be specified with some fairly stringent criteria while not requiring absolute precision. My bet would be that we'll be able to keep the millions and save the other millions that would have been wasted writing science fiction computer climate models in the intervening decade. Meanwhile, I think whatever the weather will do will continue. It'll get cold or it'll get warm but it won't be catastrophic whichever way it goes. The record long term on weather is that it has been a lot warmer and a lot colder in the past and the world survived. Find something else to compulse over.
