The problem is that most of the visionary material is based not so much on facts as on fears. Human beings are the most productive force on earth if they are unleashed. But when the "elites" decide to run things with central planning and their various science-fiction fantasy worlds what actually happens is that everyone sinks into a morass of failed ideas imposed by the elite on the rest.
