The Beltway Cabal

SEE HERE It's long been a joke that there must be something in the water up in Washington D.C. since so many folks get elected and go up there and then proceed to betray their constituents by doing almost the exact opposite of what they said they would do. I long ago thought this was one of the best reasons for term limits, to prevent this betrayal as they get accustomed to the halls of privilege and power and get co-opted by the Washington insiders and media. Their reaction to the Tea Party and to Sarah Palin tends to reveal more about this process. Well here's hoping that the Queen of the Hobbits and her loyal band with defeat Mordor in the end!
