One More Reason Why Home Owner's Associations Stink

SEE HERE  Home Owner's Associations are just a way for one more collective to invade upon your rights.  Whenever we've bought homes we've made a point to say we don't want a home owner's association and except for one lousy realtor up in Northern Virginia the realtors have honored our requests.  That one was sneaky and didn't tell us about the home owner's association until closing.  We almost got up and walked out.  In any case we only owned that house for four years before moving on.  This particular case seems like one more instance of overreach on the part of nosy neighbors.  I guess there are so few people these days doing anything productive with their spare time that picking on someone who does seems like good sport.
