Is Obama the Worst President Ever or Is the Right Just Drinking Their Own Koolaid?

SEE HERE I've always liked the lead hook in the reference: "The late, longtime New Yorker critic Pauline Kael was said to have expressed confusion over Richard Nixon's landslide re-election in 1972 ..." which just points up the significance of one's tendency to run with a pack of like minded individuals. I suppose only time will tell if Obama is the worst president ever. In my lifetime the two that come to mind are Ford and Carter neither of which were barn burners. Carter particularly was a loser and Obama looks like a more ineffectual version of Carter, so I'm inclined to think there is objective evidence for Obama not being a standout in the excellence department. The polarization of American politics has reached the point of being two rather widely separated enclaves. The Left has gotten to the point of being nothing but big government statists and the Right seems on its way to Libertarianism. I'm inclined to be a middle of the road Conservative who thinks the government is already way too big and that the United States is unnecessarily sacrificing the lives of its military in adventures that are hard to justify in terms of the likely results. Part of this is because the left will force us to give up any gains just as Israel has been forced into stupid deals swapping territory for promises of peace, promises that never materialize. You can't negotiate with the left or with terrorists or communists or liars in general. They don't deliver the goods. Ask George Bush senior about "Read my lips ... " ... We need a new rebirth of common sense and that seems rather unlikely. The decadence will continue until the nation is bankrupt and there is no more money to give away. Then all hell is likely to break loose.
