Where Does Responsibility Lie? I Vote for the Greens
SEE HERE I suppose it is a toss up in one sense. If you force a man to play Russian roulette and then he blows his head off because the wrong chamber came up you can say it's his fault since he was playing Russian roulette and walk away as if you had no part in the event. But it's obvious that would be a gross miscarriage of justice. You forced it. It would not have happened had you not. Well that's the position the Greens are in with respect to the big oil spill in the Gulf. You have to consider things more wholistically then they do. The Greens live in a phony world where they can complain about anything that isn't pristine. They probably don't go to the bathroom and don't put their pants on one leg at a time. Lack of realism is responsible for a lot of the problems we have. It arises when people what all the benefits but none of the costs. Mostly their a flavor of progressives/liberals. There is a reason why the prevalence of liberals among the realists is lower than in the general population. If you do hard science, or serious economics you know that there are always two sides and you can't have only the good parts. Greens are those that dream dreams of things that can never be because they don't count the costs. The catastrophe in the Gulf of Mexico is just one example. There are many more.
