Follow the Money to Find Out Why You Don't Count

SEE HERE There are certainly some issues about why election campaigns cost so much. The amount of money politicians spend to get elected is quite obscene. Millions and millions are flushed in the course of election campaigns to convince you to vote for them. Why is it worth that much? Maybe this article suggests a reason. But just contributions to campaign warchests doesn't seem adequate. We do spend too much on these campaigns and we should have absolute transparency as to where the money comes from since this suggests who the elected official is beholding to. Somehow though we should reduce the costs of elections while still keeping the electorate fully informed. The season is way too long for one thing. It's getting so that no matter what time of year it is it's election time.
