SEE HERE With all the voter fraud in the air it seems only like common sense to require some sort of voter identification at the polls. Indeed, I personally think in the age of the Internet and the instant information and computer availability that it ought to include automatic confirmation that the identification has not already been used for voting. This would be trivial to do. Two ways off hand would be to encode the issuing of the ballot on the card itself when it was presented or a simply computer maintained check list that is filled in when the voter receives a ballot or both. Neither of these would be all that expensive.
Right now I have to show identification at the polls and they check me off manually, so what's the big deal? This would just standardize the process. You have to register to vote, you should have to identify yourself unambiguously when you actually vote. HERE's TEXAS
