The Reality of Government Regulation

SEE HERE The reality of regulation is that it makes everything more expensive and sets barriers to entry that make it difficult even for people with developed skills to enter trades that have essentially been regulated to limit entry. The government only wants to protect you from the unscrupulous of course, or so they say. What ever happened to my personal autonomy. Generally speaking I can take care of myself and if I need help I'll ask for it. Government regulation and licensing have destroy millions of entry level jobs with limited but useful skills. They've made personal, one-on-one service oriented jobs almost impossible. It used to be that a homeowner could hire house keepers and other folks but now the paperwork hassle has made it complicated and daunting. This is microcosm is why the government is so bad at generating jobs. They kill jobs more than generate them.
