SEE HERE It's actually been going on a long time. C.S. Lewis writes about it in some of his letters in the form "I'm as good as you" where the person making the claim is complaining that some people who have objective achievements think that they are entitled to the fruits of their labor ... "How dare they think they are better than us common folks ... " and this resentment against achievement leads to organized tearing down of those with initiative to make those without it feel better. Somehow that just doesn't seem like a recipe for a great or even a mediocre society. It is a recipe for dissolution.
