McDonald vs. Chicago

We want the entire right! The Framers thought it was important enough to memorialize in the Constitution.
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. And the framers saw it as a right of the people not only for defense against external enemies but against such internal enemies as may arise.
"The ultimate authority ... resides in the people alone. ... The advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation ... forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition."James Madison
