Greeks Have Nothing on Politicians

SEE HERE "Beware of Greeks Bearing Gifts" was an aphorism that grew up around the story of the Trojan Horse and the sack of Troy. We should all pick our friends carefully. A sunshine friend is no friend if in the storm you are abandoned and increasingly it looks like most of the Washington politicians are sunshine friends and only opportunists looking for their own advantage. The Tea Party movement seems to be an expression of authentic American patriotism inspired by the vision of the founding fathers. If we do not defend that vision will will soon enough be stripped of it and go down into the dustbins of history as just one more failed republic.
