"Hon. James David Manning, PhD says Mike Huckabee is wrong for saying character doesn’t matter. Recorded on 28 February 2011."
Now I've watched a number of the Rev. Manning's rants and I almost always enjoy them even when I disagree with him in some details. He gets right out in front and says what he thinks. I like that. What I really don't like is all these folks who tippy-toe around hot-button issues and talk out of both sides of their mouths. One thing Manning does it lay it right out there. Listen with a little bit of restraint but on the whole you're listening to a man who believes passionately what he says. I am in his camp. When someone talks and hesitates to try to "read me" and only wants to say what he thinks I want to hear, then I don't have any respect for them. I want to hear what you really think and why you think it. If you won't tell me then you've demonstrated that you're in the slime-ball category. Truth and Character are fundamental. Manning thinks we're headed for total destruction. I hope he's wrong, but right or wrong I know that he's telling me what he really thinks. Character matters!
