Color Me Cynical

SEE HERE We're not going to release the pictures of Osama bin Laden says the president. My reaction is that this is just a ploy to keep this triumph that the president has scored in the news as long as possible. By not releasing the photographs and holding back other information and videos the president is setting up a scenario which will prolong the public interest in this single, isolated success the president has scored. I might buy his explanation if he were not such an overtly political animal. I don't buy it. It's just a way to keep up public interest which would otherwise fade fairly quickly.
