The Politics of Outrage

SEE HERE Red State does a nice job here of describing and critiquing the politics of outrage. I put it up partly because I particularly enjoyed the phrase the politics of outrage which was defined as "... the idea that you win arguments by being the angriest man in the room ..." and is something that is not thought but a bizarre aberration of thought. Emotion isn't thought. It isn't a component of thought. It usually motivates poor thought. Unfortunately on the left it is often substituted for thought.
