SEE HERE I suppose I should say HEAR HERE Mark Levin isn't too thrilled with Donald Trump as a candidate. His primary argument being that if Trump has bonefides as a "conservative" candidate or a Tea Party friendly candidate then he has a lot of strange political contributions. I don't think Trump's position that it was just business is quite as ridiculous as Levin makes out, but you can't discount them entirely. I was more impressed by the policy research. We need a better candidate than Trump.
That being said Trump looks better than most of the lack-luster Republican pack that are being retreaded for a 2012 run. Trump's big plus in my book is "no strings attached" ... he's independently wealthy and his own person. He's not a Washington politician or any other kind of politician. I like Trump/Alan West! That would be interesting. Business and military ... people with experience of reality and not the plastic beltway crowd.
Then on the other hand Levin has a point too ... does Trump have too much baggage? Who knows? Nowadays we have the search for dirt and the mud-slinging fest as part of the political scene thanks to the loss of character which epitomizes the country these days.
