SEE HERE Donald Trump generates a lot of excitement in a Newsmax poll. The significance of this is hard to gauge since the poll is self-selected from Newsmax readership which is likely more conservative than the at large voter base. Nevertheless the results do seem to indicate a lot of voter dissatisfaction with the status quo. Trump is a face at once familiar and not involved with politics as usual. It's a long way to the 2012 elections however.
