Books ... Testing a Blogger Plug-In

I thought I'd try this Amazon Associates thingie that you can add to your Blog.  I'm certainly not expecting to get any revenue to speak of from this, but it does make it easy (supposedly) to add content about books.  So let's see if that works out or not.  I'll put up some links that key to books I've recently purchased myself. This one "National Suicide" is about runaway government.  Gee you know what that's about: 1) out of control spending, 2) expansion of power well beyond any limits envisioned by the Founders or the Constitution, 3) entitlement programs, and 4) the crony capitalism and pandering to special interest while everyone except the tax payers make money.  So it's worth a few bucks to out these idiots.

Here's another just to get two links in the window.  Flannery O'Connor had a short life but left a big footprint. She was born in 1925 and she died in 1964 of hereditary lupus.  Her literary production, despite her disease, was two novels and 32 short stories.  Her personal suffering no doubt contributed to a spiritual awareness that gave depth to her letters.  This book explores that dimension of O'Connor.
