If Krauthammer Is Right Than We Are Thoroughly Screwed

SEE HERE When something is shaky you try to shore it up. Sometimes that isn't really the right strategy. Sometimes it needs to be restructured, taken down to the essential and rebuilt more strongly so it can weather the winds that stress it. If someone comes along in the meantime like the current administration and kicks out the supports the whole thing collapses. That looks like what we're in for frankly. I'm in favor of taking the whole thing down quickly and restructuring it before we're doomed. But I rather doubt there is enough political will or understanding to make that happen, so I'm in the unfavorable position of thinking "We're doomed ..." without having a sense that there is an exit.
