In Case You Thought the NIC Wasn't a Slime Ball?

SEE HERE The last refuge of a scoundrel is a phrase that flashed through my mind as I read this piece.

Obama said in an interview with U.S. television network CBS that checks to recipients of the Social Security retirement program may not go out in early August if he and congressional leaders do not agree on a debt deal.

This is the game that bureaucrats and union leaders play when they want to get their way. They look at the constituency and intentionally pick the most vulnerable and the highest profile group to hurt to make their point. Congratulations Mr. President! You confirmed my lack of faith in the integrity and principles of politicians, especially those on your side of the aisle. Your entire party has made no serious effort to pass a budget for two years and you've been spending money profligately without much concern about paying it back and now instead of trying to fix the system you just want to make things worse.

The Patriot Update made the point that when it comes to liberals, no spending program is ever enough. It is never bold enough. SEE HERE So when they fail, as they always do, the problem is never with the concept, only with the quantity of money that was spent. Now we're approaching the tipping point and the mantra remains in place. When the system collapses they will point to others as the cause. The anointed leftists are never the ones at fault.
