Tea Party Angst!

SEE HERE  It's fascinating frankly that so many politicians on both right and left see the Tea Party as a threat.  I think the founders would have seen the Tea Party as exactly the kind of citizenry they desired, people who were engaged and supporters of freedom and patriotism.  But our "leaders" see them instead as a threat despite the fact that they are a thoroughly grass roots movement of concerned citizens, not centrally located and not particularly coordinated.  To me this makes the Tea Party far more authentic than most of the better organized operations that pretend to represent the people.
