We have watched in the past decade the descent of the United States from a precariously held representative republic, long being eroded since at least the Civil War. Now (see the previous video) we have come a long way towards the collapse of freedom. You are not free when every detail of your life is dictated to you by bureaucrats: 1) what you can eat, 2) what you can drive, 3) what medical attention you can choose to get or even whether you get care at all, 4) whether you can fly without intrusive search and seizure. This is all done under the claim of necessity to protect you. I don't feel protected. Instead I feel that my freedom is eroded.
In Virginia our Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli points out that every time the government decides to spend more of your money, regulate more of your lives, borrow more money without security you lose another slice of your freedom. Rand Paul here points out how outrageous the president's move to war in Libya is. Our record in supporting rebels has advanced the cause of extremists around the world, whether it be Castro in Cuba, various other uprisings in South America, the Afghan resistance in Iraq which turned out to be Osama bin Laden and others, the religious extremists in Iran, and now who are these folks we are supporting in Libya. We are clueless. It is not our business nor were most of these other fights our business. Had we not undermined the status quo in many of these situations the world would likely be a safer place than it is. Obama should be impeached!
