The Duty Of The Military Professional
SEE HERE The military swears an oath to uphold and protect the Constitution of the United States. The military does not swear an oath to an individual, any individual. That is the way it is done in the United States. There is a military code of conduct which forbids a member to obey an illegal order, but sometime legal orders have to be disobeyed as well. This article explores that issue. Ultimately we all answer to a higher code than even the Constitution. The Eternal Law and the Natural Law stand higher and must be considered over the Positive Law (the Constitution).
