Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy folks will get the allusion.  Unfortunately there is no place to go as we have not yet developed warp drive.  So all we can do is hunker down in the bunkers and hope there is something left when our fearless leaders finish destroying the economy, promising everyone everything, and then sitting back and consuming the seed corn.
