The Global Warming Alarmists are in Denial

SEE HERE and HERE The beat goes on. We apparently have the whole gaggle of chickens divided into two groups. Group one has been claiming that the sky is falling. These are the Global Warming Alarmist Chicken Littles. They write climate models. They reject data that doesn't fit. They invest in green technologies and get big government grants to push the envelope and they conspire to prevent the second group from having a voice. Group two thinks group one has simply lost their minds. They dispute their science. They look at all the data and say that what group one is saying is nonsense and they get labeled for their trouble as "deniers" and lampooned by all those who would benefit from subsidies, from government controls, from government investment, from cap and trade.

Now group one's sculduggery is on the table and all the group one fellow travelers are saying "Ignore the man behind the curtain." "It's all just gossip, or trivia, or loose talk they didn't really mean." Group two meanwhile feels vindicated and are saying so. The whole thing is disgraceful and calls all science into disrepute. The peer review process is shown as open to manipulation and bad faith. The selective use of data and questionable modeling practices are blatant manipulation for goal oriented, agenda driven, and venal motives.

And perhaps most interesting is that they're trying to brazen it out. It would be nice to see some of these manipulators and liars fessing up. But that doesn't look like it is going to happen. Instead we're going to listen to blustering and justification and more lying. It's just a disgrace and gives all of science a bad name and a very disgusting smell. Yikes!
