Lunacy: The Lunatics Are Running the Asylum

SEE HERE Add Tony Blair to the list of lunatics. "The Precautionary Principle" is the idea that if it might happen and it's a big deal then we should do something it no matter what the cost. This is a form of insanity, intentionally induced insanity. So the deal is this: Get a good scare going. (Step 1), Invoke the precautionary principle. (Step 2), and then invoke any brain-dead spending plan or power grab you want to save the world! (Step 3).

I think that the planet may be hit by an earth passing asteroid. I can show that such an outcome would be devastating and could happen any year so we have to create the space technology to observe these guys and send expeditions to deflect them so they don't impact and destroy civilization on earth. (Actually that makes more sense than the global warming nonsense) Don't see anyone getting into that one yet since it doesn't give them enough power.
