SEE HERE With friends like these, who needs enemies.  The government regulations for every harebrained scheme that tickles a bureaucrat's fancy add up cumulatively to an incredibly large load for the economy to bear.  It's odd don't you think that there never seems to be a real assessment of how successful the regulations are?  There ought to be an agency independent of government that publishes an analysis of how effective they are.  I suspect if there were we'd either have a lot fewer regulations or a lot of bought and paid for analysts getting fat on government dollars just like the global warming alarmists are.
