SEE HERE You can't abandon traditional values and call yourself a Conservative. It's really just that simple. Homosexual orientation (whatever that is) is itself likely a psychological illness, but homosexual practice is immoral and a perversion. Sorry, but facts are facts. All the current jockeying around to try to position oneself in some sort of neutral position is just dishonest. You either stand up for truth or you fold and admit to being a relativist. Which is it?

I've always reconciled the conundrum in my mind by sticking to "toleration, sure; acceptance, no way." Or if you prefer: love the sinner, hate the sin. Especially if that sinner shares an interest in beating back the government Leviathan.

My own position would be to parse toleration a little. Public display of immorality is not something that should be tolerated. If you want to be sinful in private it's not my business to expose your sinfulness, nor anyone else's I would think. The alternative looks a lot like the Gestapo.
