The impression I'm receiving from my reading of the chatter on the net is that the old-Republican country-club Republican elite still doesn't get it. They are complaining that "weak candidates" (read Tea Party people) kept them from winning the Senate. That is so laughable it almost doesn't deserve a response.
First of all, had they supported the Tea Party candidates they might have won. So most of them can take some credit for their defeat. In most cases the persons that would have been running as Republicans were just Democrats in disguise or the Tea Party would not have unseated them in the first place.
In any case it's an instance of looking at a very full glass and saying it could be filled to the brim if we'd only compromised our values more. Not at all idiots. Had you compromised more you'd probably be in worse shape. It is all about values and the sad news is that most of you don't have any except the value of extending your own position. Keep the complaining up. We need to know who to run against next time.
