Focus: The Election of Bob McDonnell

SEE HERE Newt Gingrich who damaged his own image with his support for the liberal candidate up in New York is back with a new contract with America. That's a good idea, although the Republican follow through on the last contract with America was quite disappointing. Here we see an interview with Bob McDonnell the new governor of Virginia who did a nice job answering the president's state of the union address just a while ago.

If the Republicans are going to go anywhere they have to become a party of principle and the principles need to be lived. If we can't hold politicians feet to the fire when they claim to believe things than the whole process is doomed. Obama is showing himself to be essentially without principles I think. He says one thing and does another. He's long on rhetoric and almost devoid of principle. In the resulting floundering we see how poorly a system run only on self-aggrandizement works. We need to return to principles and stick with them.
