Let's Pile On Toyota And Make Sure There Is Less Foreign Investment

SEE HERE Toyota is taking a rather bad rap over problems that any car company can have. Ralph Nader killed the Corvair over not much. Now let's pile on Toyota, a company with a very good reputation for quality because they've had some problems. That's the way to treat a company that has 30,000 workers in the country when the administration is pretending to have a pro-jobs policy. It doesn't make much sense, but then when did anything government does make sense? It's all about posturing, looking good, sounding good, a 30 second sound bite on the evening news. It's not any deeper than that. Asking politicians to think beyond the present moment is asking too much of folks with only two neurons: power and greed. Yeah that's rhetoric ... they're all not that bad. But way too many of them seem to be. I sometimes think a national lottery for Congress would make more sense with no-one allowed to have more than one term. Extend the lottery to the congressional support positions and we'd have a real plan.
