SEE HERE I'm not sure when homosexuality became something to be approved and even touted as though it were an acceptable lifestyle. Sometime in the 1960's I suppose when all the other weird things were advanced and sexual promiscuity began to be an accepted lifestyle. The reality is that it is a sad, demeaning, low and unhealthy lifestyle that often leads to an early and unpleasant death.
Right is right and wrong is wrong. It seems to be considered impolite to say so now adays. We have come to the point where having morality is seen as somehow a bit quaint if it just were not so offensive to our advanced amoral sensibilities or perhaps more accurately our insensibilities. The fact that this way is the way to the dissolution of the nation has not yet made the radar. By the time it does we may be too far gone.
I saw an interesting book in a religious bookstore yesterday. The title was "The Long Truce" by A. J. Conyers. It is about the destruction of our society, quite literally. Conyers, a professor at Baylor University, "... contends that as a public policy tolerance is used to lay the ground for peace and harmony, but instead of protecting minority groups, it allows for the centralization of power and indifference to values." as one Amazon reviewer presents it.
I think Conyers is likely onto something important. I also happened to be reading "The Diamond Age" by Neal Stephenson (copyright about 1995) It's a science fiction work set in the late 21st century. I found the following sentence illuminating: "He had some measure of the infuriating trait that causes a young man to be a nonconformist for its own sake and found that the surest way to shock most people, in those days, was to believe that some kinds of behavior were bad and others good, and that it was reasonable to live one's life accordingly." The dissolution of society attends the loss of virtue. Make no mistake about that. This insane idea will destroy the effectiveness of the military and offer no very good compensation. Stupidity as well as immorality seems to have descended upon Washington.
