Discrimination and Bigotry Liberal Style

SEE HERE Apparently we can't be proud of our forefathers if they have been caricatured by progressives as racists. There is something fundamentally evil about demonizing a man's past based on the Confederate battle flag which was an honorable symbol of an honorable military force. If this story is true and there are no explanatory circumstances beyond those in the story than shame on the Marine Corps. My son was a combat marine and he is from the proud commonwealth of Virgina which fought the Union. Slavery was only one of several issues that defined that war. It is symptomatic of the sheer hypocrisy of the position that the slaves in the North were not freed by the Union. Only the slaves in the South were freed. So now we are suggesting that all the men who served the Confederacy were bigots. It simply isn't so. Nor is it so that those who honor the battle flag are bigots. The only bigots in this scenery are the progressives and liberals that only think their view of history is valid. Now that's bigotry.
